E1 Certification

To press wood chips into particle boards, formaldehyde-based synthetic resins are used as binders. They can harm the environment and human health because these synthetic resins do not permanently bond with the wood chips and can off-gas into the indoor air.

All our bathroom furniture complies with the emission protection class E1. Consequently, they are low in formaldehyde and may emit no more than 0.1 ppm formaldehyde into the indoor air under certain circumstances.
